Calendar of Events
The Commonwealth Powerlifting Federation currently serves the major Powerlifting event for Commonwealth nations, the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships. This event is held bi-annually.
So far, the CPF have successfully run seven Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships, the first in 2005 in Northumberland, England. The second, in 2007 in Christchurch, New Zealand, the third in Pune, India in 2009. 2011 saw the the fourth in Bournemonth, England and the fifth event was held in Auckland New Zealand, with over 450 lifters (a combined Commonwealth and Oceania Championship. Number six in Canada had over 350 lifters. Number seven in Potchefstroom, South Africa had over over 300 lifters and 5 days of lifting. The most recent event was held in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, in September of 2019 and had 416 lifters.
